About these terms
Daybreak Home Support (“Daybreak”, “we”, “us”) is run by [company legal name], a company registered in [Northern Ireland] with company number [number]. Registered office: [registered address]. Email: info@daybreak-home.com.
These terms apply to anyone who offers services on Daybreak as a provider, together with the Terms & Conditions.
Joining
- You must be 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK.
- You must complete Daybreak’s checks before you can list a service. We decide which service categories you are approved for.
- Keep your details and documents up to date and tell us about anything that affects your checks.
Your status
You are self-employed, not an employee or worker of Daybreak. You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance and [any insurance the owners require]. You choose your hours, your rates and which bookings to accept.
What you can offer
Only practical help in the categories you are approved for. You must not provide medical care, nursing or regulated personal care, and you must not give or handle medication (reminders are fine).
Prices and payouts
- You set your hourly rates. Daybreak adds its booking fee to the customer’s price; it is not taken from your rate.
- Log the time you worked after each visit. You are paid for the time logged, up to the time booked.
- Payouts go to your bank through Stripe once the booking is complete: when the customer confirms, or 48 hours after the visit ends if no problem is reported.
- If the customer reports a problem, the payout waits until Daybreak decides it.
Cancelling
If you cancel a booking, the customer gets a full refund and the cancellation is recorded on your account. Repeated cancellations may lead to your account being suspended. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Conduct
Be on time, respectful and honest. Keep all payments and arrangements on Daybreak: do not take cash or share contact details to work with customers outside the platform. Keep customers’ information private.
Suspension and leaving
You can leave at any time once your current bookings are finished. We may suspend or remove a provider who breaks these terms or puts customers at risk.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.
